Arm and Hammer is mining their baking soda from a natural trona mine source... Make sure any baking soda you buy states on the package 100% sodium bicarbonate! So yes, we have done research on this and feel confident that the byproducts you mention from Alcoa are not being added to Arm and Hammer Baking Soda. Thomas,

Acute Lymphatic Leukaemia I started to take Arm and Hammer Baking soda. I am taking 1 tsp. in 1 cup of water every two hours and have eliminated most of the symptoms withing 3 days. it has been almost a month now and I feel I am gaining strength. I have fond some warnings about the pancreas if taken high doses to frequently. They told me I have 6 months or less but I feel I will be around much longer.
