Baking Soda – Every Cancer Patients Best Friend

Every Cancer Patients Best Friend

Breast cancer cells
Cancer cells have a lower pH than surrounding tissue

As if it were not humiliating enough for orthodox oncologists to learn that the lowly chemical sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is important in the treatment of cancer now they have to swallow the research pointing to the fact that bicarbonate can also be used to diagnose cancer in its earliest stages. Oncologists do understand and know that bicarbonate is necessary to protect their patients from the toxicity and harm done by highly toxic chemicals used in chemotherapy. They also know it is of extraordinary help to patients receiving radiation treatments protecting as it does the kidneys and other tissues of the body from radioactive damages.

Oncologists should also know that bicarbonate-induced extracellular alkalinization leads to significant improvements in the therapeutic effectiveness of certain chemo agents. A number of studies have shown that the extracellular pH in cancers is typically lower than that in normal tissue and that an acidic pH promotes invasive tumor growth in primary and metastatic cancers. The external pH of solid tumors is acidic as a consequence of increased metabolism of glucose and poor perfusion. Acid pH has been shown to stimulate tumor cell invasion and metastasis in vitro and in cells before tail vein injection in vivo.

Researchers have investigated the very reasonable assumption that increased systemic concentrations of pH buffers would lead to reduced intratumoral and peritumoral acidosis and, as a result, inhibit malignant growth. It has been shown that increased serum concentrations of the sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) can be achieved via oral intake. These researchers found that consequent reduction of tumor acid concentrations significantly reduces tumor growth and invasion without altering the pH of blood or normal tissues.[1]

Oral NaHCO3 selectively increased the pH of tumors and reduced the formation of spontaneous metastases in mouse models of metastatic breast cancer. NaHCO3 therapy also reduced the rate of lymph node involvement and significantly reduced the formation of hepatic metastases. Acid pH was shown to increase the release of active cathepsin B, an important matrix remodeling protease.[2]

We know that bicarbonate turns to CO2 easily when dissolved in water as it enters the stomach but few know that cancerous tissue turns bicarbonate into carbon dioxide. A few years ago a United Kingdom Cancer Research team found MRI scans were able to track changes in bicarbonate and therefore identify cancers even in the very early stages.

All cancer has a lower pH, meaning it is more acidic than surrounding tissue. Working with mice, the researchers boosted the MRI sensitivity more than 20,000 times. Using MRI, they looked to see how much of the tagged bicarbonate was converted into carbon dioxide within the tumor. In more acidic tumors, more bicarbonate is converted into carbon dioxide.

Lead researcher Professor Kevin Brindle, from Cancer Research UK’s Cambridge Research Institute at the University of Cambridge, said: “This technique could be used as a highly-sensitive early warning system for the signs of cancer. By exploiting the body’s natural pH balancing system, we have found a potentially safe way of measuring pH to see what’s going on inside patients. MRI can pick up on the abnormal pH levels found in cancer and it is possible that this could be used to pinpoint where the disease is present and when it is responding to treatment.”

Special Note: In Sodium Bicarbonate – Rich Man’s Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment it is stressed that sodium bicarbonate is not a standalone single shot cancer treatment. It should always be used in conjunction with a full protocol that includes most importantly magnesium chloride, iodine and selenium plus a naturopathic approach to diet, intestinal cleaning, sun exposure and many other helpful things.

I have been diagnosed with (A.L.L.) Acute Lymphatic Leukaemia I started to take Arm and Hammer Baking soda. I am taking 1 tsp. in 1 cup of water every two hours and have eliminated most of the symptoms withing 3 days. it has been almost a month now and I feel I am gaining strength. I have fond some warnings about the pancreas if taken high doses to frequently. They told me I have 6 months or less but I feel I will be around much longer. I am not a Dr. and am not recommending this to you , I am only sharing what I am doing.

Dale, try to find a doctor that practices acupuncture combined with detoxification, and energy (chi) manipulation. Dr. in Miami Lakes, Florida is healing my mother who has pulmonary fibrosis. She has been off her medicines, prednisone, albuterol inhaler, and blood pressure medication since June 2010. First he detoxified her and she went off her medicines that same day. Now she has a clean diet, gets acupuncture and chi manipulation. Goal is to get her off theoxygen machine. She can now be without oxygen machine for 5.5 hours. Goodluck.

    Dear Margaret,

You would need to talk over your situation with Dr. Sircus directly.
    Please see: http://naturalallopathicclinic.com/

Yes, Dr. Sircus’ protocol will help. YOu can get sodium bicarbonate from the grocery store *baking soda, NOT baking powder) Magnesium can be obtained at LL’s Magnetic Clay co. and so can the nascent iodine..

Please offer your book on Sodium Bicarbonate in hard copy! I would like to purchase it for my brother, who has pancreatic cancer. He doesn’t have a computer. I need to know the treatment regiment for pancreatic cancer. He had the “whipple” surgical procedure a year ago, but his cancer returned and has now matatised to one lymph node and a tumor in his liver. He is currently taking a break from several months of chemo therapy. Thank you and God bless.

Will the baking soda be effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis?
I’m already using the mag/chloride and it’s be extremely helpful more than anything that I have tryed so far. I was unable to tolerate the iodine. Is the kelp in the adequate dose just as effective as the iodine?

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Julie,

keeping your pH at alkaline levels 7.3-7.4 would be very helpful for you, so a trial on sodium bicarbonate would not hurt.

Kelp is being cautioned against due to the radiation in Japan and unreliability of sources for adequate testing.

Thanks Roko for posting all these links to Dr. Sircus’ essays on baking soda and cancer. Loved seeing the video of Vernon Johnson making up the mixture that has helped him, it will be very helpful to so many who ask how to make this sodium bicarb, molasses and water solution that he drank daily to get rid of the prostate cancer. Thanks for finding this and Dr. Sircus is going to feature that video in an upcoming newsletter!

    sir/madame,

If this treatment really works, not that i don’t believe it, i’m just very confused why does the medical world wont accept it as a effective treatment? millions of people die because of cancer! why not share the truth to the dying people. this will greatly help people from the third world country who cannot afford those expensive treatments. and for you, people who knows the truth, why not push it so everyone has an equal chance of surviving.

and if this is just another medical hoax, may God have mercy on your soul!

@ Dr Elkanah Agbevenu, pls tell us your findings by submitting to the whole world, very solid evidence that this treatment really works. please!

may our God bless those people who try to help save lives!

    Melvin,

Sodium bicarbonate treatment for cancer is a threat to the pharmaceutical companies who exist to keep us sick and make as much money as they can. Sodium bicarbonate treatment is inexpensive and thus they want to do anything possible to make it seem unworthy.

  • melvin said:

@claudia, why cant there be any significant number of people claiming that Soduim Bicarb is a cure for CANCER? Why don’t you make irrefutable documents of cured patients so the whole world will know, right? Is that hard to do? Or you’re just like them trying to get into the bussiness…

This is really a sick world we live in!

    Melvin,

There are documented accounts of people who have been cured with sodium bicarbonate therapy for cancer…..however the mainstream medical and pharmacological associations are not interested in these so they hold no water.

But look at Vernon Johnson’s testimony for one: http://blog.imva.info/medicine/amazing-cancer-therapy-wipes-prostate-bone-cancer

I am aware of some organizations that are now collecting and collating information on people being treated and cured with sodium bicarbonate but who knows when they will publish or make public their findings? Do you have the money to invest in doing appropriate clinical trials with sodium bicarbonate and cancer? None of the allopathhic group are interested despite all the informration we have found on this subject….it would not benefit them financially to assist any one of us in the alternative medicine field to make this a more credible cure…..so they do what they can to actively oppose and speak against it or hide the information. They ” bully” most people suffering with cancer into believing that they will die if their traditional methods are not followed asap.

Treatment with sodium bicarbonate is still a fairly new concept……

Please see Dr. Sircus’ essays :

    http://blog.imva.info/?s=sodium+bicarbonate+and+cancer

    http://blog.imva.info/medicine/sodium-bicarbonate-irrigation

and many others he has written on this subject, as well as his book on Sodium Bicarbonate and cancer, where you will find testimonies and videos on people who have benefited from this treatment.

My dog has been diagnosed with bone cancer. We have the option of doing sodium bicarbonate through IV, directly on the tumor in her left front humerus, or orally. What is the most effective treatment for her?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

Bone cancer is one of the most difficult to reach. Probably a combination of both oral and IV would be the best bet.

  • Juhlie said:

Thank you for your help. We are going to start it orally, but are not sure how much to give her (she weigs almost 60lbs). Is ther any information on dosage and dogs in the Ebook? Just to clarify would it be better to administer it through general IV or pipe it directly onto the tumor?

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Juhlie,

We don’t have any information on dosing for dogs…..sorry about that.

Dr. Simoncini believes that the more directly you give sodium bicarbonate the better …..he goes IV whenever possible directly to the tumor….but Dr. Sircus believes you can affect the life of a tumor with solely topical and oral bicarbonate with IV only if if the timor is large , over 3cm, and or deep as in the bone tissue itself.

  • Juhlie said:

Have you had any experience or know of any cases where people have given their dogs sodium bicarbonate to change their PH levels? Our vet has some concerns about it since dogs are generally more acidic then humans because they eat raw meat…She has an appointment on Tuesday to have the sodium bicarb directly pumped to the tumor, we are going to do it once a week…do you think that will be enough?

    Thank you

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

Juhlie so far we haven’t heard of anyone using sodium bicarbonate on dogs that I’m aware of.

And I’m not sure of what treatment schedule Dr. Sircus would recommend for dogs. You would need to get a consult with him for that info….he can also consult with your vet if desired. A lot would depend on weight of the dog, etc. And your vet should be sure to read up on Dr. Simoncini and his cancer treatments with sodium bicarbonate. He can even be reached through email which is listed on his site.

I don’t beleive there has been any research on Ammonium bicarbonate (ammonia baking powder/ hartshorn), but it may have similiar applications to regular baking soda in treating cancer, with the additional benefits of sulforaphane ( from the ammonium sulfate). It does create CO2 when it comes in contact with acids and would possibly induce a stronger CO2 action (as it is a more powerful leaving agent) inside tumors, while doubly attacking the cancer with it’s sulfur content. Could be mixed with honey or maple syrup and taken orally.

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Thanks Noah,

Interesting information and we will look more deeply into this. I see from a quick scan on the net that ammonium bicarbonate is a natural product commonly used as an active ingredient in some pesticides, and also used in baking. Ammonium bicarbonate/hartshorn is a salt, NH4HCO3 whose breakdown components ( NH3, H2O, and CO2 ) are all volatile, thus providing leavening.

Is it also known as “smelling salts”. ? looks like smelling salts are actually ammonium carbonate and not bicaronate and there is often confusion over this. The odor is very strong and can knock you over. Ammonium bicarbonate breaks down to carbon dioxide, water and ammonia and is water soluble. It is a pre-cursor to sodium bicarbonate. .

It does require heating to be activated. some say sodium bicarbonate does. (when used as a leavening agent)

Its deemed not- toxic by the FDA and the EPA and is approved as a food additive…..(in the tested and recommended amounts) and I didn’t see anything on amounts used in this quick scan of the net.

I have yet to look at the sulphur component of ammonium bicarbonate.

One other problem I noted is the cost compared to sodium bicarbonate. It costs about $50 for a 500 gm amount on one site and on another it costs $8-13 for a 2 0z container……much more than sodium bicarbonate costs. Being a precursor, it is stronger than bicarbonate, but dosages for cancer were not seen by me.

If you have any more information or references to its use in treating cancer or other problems with acidity in the body, please share them with me. You can email me at : [email protected]

I think we need to be careful in using a stronger substance in cancer treatment or to bring pH up, as this can become detrimental causing a prolonged alkalosis which can be very serious. Generally the use of the gentler sodium bicarbonate should begin its action on turmor and pH within about 1-4 weeks. But is use should certaily be looked into. thanks again!
