Testimonies

The following testimonies from the bicarbonate book highlight bicarbonate’s use as a pain reliever:

“After suffering from a 4 hour long blinding headache for which nothing I took brought any relief, I tried the sodium bicarbonate, 1 tsp mixed in a glass of water.  Within a few short minutes I could feel the headache abating and within the hour it was completely relieved!  I tried this again when another headache occurred, and it worked just as miraculously.”

“This is the best pain reliever of all the ones I have been trying.  I am amazed that something so simple would be so potent! I haven’t exceeded 7 a day; but wish I could.  It takes the pain away for about 2 hours. Nothing seems to work more then 2 hours at a time.”

My father was a veterinarian and as far back as I can remember (I was born in 1938 so my memory goes back to maybe 1943) he would take sodium bicarbonate dissolved in a full glass of warm water whenever he felt a cold coming on. I don’t remember him ever coming down with a full blown cold. He would treat my cold symptoms likewise and I responded equally as well. He also treated farm animals for various illnesses with sodium bicarbonate via a gastric tube and they recovered quickly. So I’ve known about the benefits of sodium bicarbonate from early childhood on. Glad to see that its benefits are being more widely touted. Although my father was a doctor of Veterinarian medicine, he sometimes referred to himself as an MD (Mule Doctor).

Dear Dr. Sircus,

Several weeks ago, I purchased your eBook about Sodium Bicarbonate. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. I believe that God is working through you and your staff to spread the word about the body’s natural ability to heal, given the right elements. Thank you!!!

I’ve been reading your newsletter for some time now, and happened to see your eBook about baking soda. We don’t have a lot of money, but I felt that your research might help me. Sure enough I can tell you that within the week following reading your book - and practicing what you preach – I have been practically hive/urticaria free.

I started with straight baking soda and water. Yuck! I could hardly make myself do it. But I was going for the PH balance you talked about. I read more about the different oral combinations and decided to try the Maple Syrup and Baking Soda. 3:1, it worked great and tasted great too. I couldn’t believe I could eat that much sugar!

Right now I’m smiling and feeling great. My mood is good, my energy is way up and most important the swellings and itching are gone. My hair is growing back thicker. My skin looks great. I’m not tired all the time. I can’t believe the difference in my health. Praise God for his goodness in inspiring your work.

I’ve recently added Nascent Iodine after reading some tips of yours. I was indeed deficient and that seems to be adding to the overall good effects. My children are benefiting from this research as well. I’m so happy to find alternatives to mainstream medicine.

Dear Dr. Sircus,

I have had Morgellons for over 6 years – very nasty – and I know you are aware of our plight. I am now ready to start your transdermal magnesium therapy treatments but first I have to tell you something.

I would like you to know that bicarbonate baths really help me. But, and this is a big BUT, I use it with about 3 Lb’s of sea salt per bath and when I did 5 Lb’s of bicarbonateI put myself into an alkaline state.  The high salt content somehow opened up my skin to take in the bicarbonate – it came out of my skin for a few weeks!

Thank you,
Carola Dunham

I just want to express my gratitude to Dr Mark Sircus. I am a believer in his work because Cancer hit home with my husband being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Many years before my husband had been diagnosed with prostate cancer I had already been an avid reader and believer in sodium bicarbonate, magnesium chloride and Iodine.

I personally had contacted the swine flu eight months ago and feeling sick as a dog I ordered Iodine and began to take the iodine and immediately I was able to get up from my bed and I recovered immediately.

The magnesium has helped me enormously as well with many ailments beginning with pain in my knees and joints.

Now my husband takes sodium bicarbonate for the cancer and the prognosis is excellent now.

They can NOT find any cancer in his body! These three wonderful elements or supplements, whichever way we want to call them, and they are effective.

We should all give these supplements a try. They may save your life.

Confirmed Bicarbonate Cancer Cure

Vernon Johnston

Well I am just delighted to share with you that I just got off the phone with Vernon Johnston, the gentleman that reached out to me when I was finishing my Sodium Bicarbonate book. He was the fellow who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer with metastasis to the bones. This was over 15 months ago and I wrote up his story and shared his treatment diary in my Rich Man’s Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment bicarbonate book. He was going to do a cesium chloride treatment but because his order got lost in the mail ended up doing sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) orally, managed to get his urinary pH up to 8.5 for five days and then within two weeks was back at his oncologists office for a test, which showed his bones being cleared of his cancer.

“Cancer tried to kill me. After a struggle or two, or three, or four, or more I said, “No!” Or at least I was hoping for a “No.” I turned to Cesium, but ended up with Baking Soda. My goal was to change my pH quickly. I knew little or next to nothing what pH, Alkaline or Acidic meant. Happily I found out,” said Vernon Johnston.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

Thank you for all you do in educating us. I would so appreciate if you could tell us what a good ph of our urine and saliva should be and the best time to check one’s ph – first thing in the morning, after meals, before bedtime and/or?

Also any testimonials that you receive with morgellons would be appreciated, did Carola see any improvement.

Do you have any recommendations for a way to rid the body of cellulose as in candida and morgellons?

Lastly, for more information on morgellons that may help you in determine what may be of help, I would like to refer you to the site http://www.morgellonsexposed.com and click on “The Throwback Collection of Morgellons Specimens.”

    Thank you so,
    Lucretia

  • Mark Sircus said:

Best time to check salivary ph is in the morning before eating. You can check other times of the day but be aware that the food you have eaten or the drinks you have taken can markedly affect the readings at later times of the day. Urine pH is not necessarily a reliable indicator as it may reflect the acids being excreted from your body as it is the job of the kidneys to do so.

A healthy person should aim to maintain a salivary pH level of around 6.8 to 7.0

Can you provide me info on getting rid of cysts in my kidneys (diagnosis is Polycystic kidneys). I am on dialysis 3 times a week and still work and travel a good bit.
Would taking sodium bicarbonate baths as well as drinking internal be the best approach?
If I can keep my body alkaline then it will certainly help my body to heal.
    Thanks,
    Bob Lawson

  • Mark Sircus said:

    Bob,

Yes, taking bicarbonate orally and in baths may help you a lot. In studies on rats, sodium bicarbonate has been found to lessen the development of polycystic kidney disease.

Sodium bicarbonate has recently been found to oftentimes prevent and even reverse kidney failure.

    Thanking you
    poonam

  • Mark Sircus said:

    Poonam,
Hard to say what is needed. Keep your body alkaline and let your pH be your guide. get some testing strips and check saliva pH. Stay on an alkaline diet and don’t rely on sodium bicarb alone to prevent cancer.

The studies showing sodium bicarbonate’s benefit in kidney failure stated that they administered 1gm/day. Other sources stated 600 mg/day. But note that this was in people who already had a diagnosis of chronic renal failure, and probably could not excrete acids from their bodies like healthier people can. This may be too much for people with normal kidney function, and excess alkalinity can also cause health problems.

    Dr. Mark,
How do you check your PH? And, I am going to buy your book. I have CIN II preinvasive cervical cancer and I hope that I can kick this recurring issue with your treatment of sodium bicarbonate. I just want to be safe and hope I can do this at home. If this works – you and your book will have a great testimonial from me. I hope to keep in touch. Take care.

  • Mark Sircus said:

    Holly,
Go to your local health food store or medical supply house and buy some saliva pH testing strips. You test by placing saliva on the strip, or holding it briefly in your mouth and matching the color on the strip to the color on the package. This will give you the ph reading.

yes, use it in douches and best of luck to you.

I’m a bit concerned that my wife is breastfeeding our 2 month old baby and is developing the signs of thrush and a yeast infection that she’s been having challenges in the past. As of now we’re starting to take the coarse of starving the yeast with no sugar of any kind- even fruit, giving her a probiotic & properly cultured foods. I was wondering if giving her sodium bicarbonate would be helpful and above all safe for the baby. Thanks for your time, your incredible site and work. Blessings

  • IMVA Staff said:

    John,
Your wife should consult with her own healthcare provider about using sodium bicarbonate while breastfeeding. The use of sodium bicarb for children under 6 years of age is not recommended. Its hard to know how much is passed in breast milk. Be cautious and look for the cause of the candida overgrowth.

It takes quiet a bit of soda per gallon. Is this safe to do this over long periods of time or is their a better way to get the distilled water up to neutral?

Please read up on this bicarbonate use in Dr. Sircus Book on Bicarbonate. You will need to check your pH daily to guide your need for the bicarbonate. You will learn about this in the book.
Also you should switch your diet to one that will help your body stay more alkaline. This will help your immune system. Monitor your blood pressure with bicarbonate use to make sure it is not raising your blood pressure.

I recently submitted a message asking about mixing S.D. with magnesium which you say causes kidney failure, etc. and mentioned the widely used product (Phoursalts). I do not see my message on thy screen. This is important as there are several concerned about this, including Waverly Wellness House and other practitioners. Please do not disregard this question any longer, I’ve been trying to find out the answers for months to no avail!!! (607-775-4645)
I personally have been mixing “Trisalts” with S.D. but am no longer because of thy warnings! Please respond!

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Rodney,

First of all your previous message and question is still here, look two comments down from here. And in that message you were asking about mixing sodium bicarbonate (SB not S.D) with calcium, not magnesium as you state here.

Dr. Sircus has some problems with the phoursalts, as some of the ingredients do not actually exist . For example magnesium bicarbonate: Magnesium bicarbonate is a complex hydrated salt that exists only in water under specific conditions. It does not occur in a solid form.

Sodium bicarbonate reacts with calcium chloride to produce a precipitate of calcium carbonate plus a gas, water, and another aqueous product. A precipitate is generally an insoluble form.

Dr. Sircus maintains that excess calcium in the system is harmful unless well balanced with other minerals, specifically magnesium. Dr. Sircus stands by his recommendation.

  • Rodney Payne said:

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING! THERE ARE NO COMMENTS BELOW THY RESPONSE.?? THANKS FOR THE INFO ABOUT PHOURSALTS. YOU DID NOT MENTION MY MIXING “TRISALTS” WITH S.D. IT CONTAINS PER 1/2 TSP. CALCIUM (CARBONATE) 450 mg / MAGNESIUM (CARBONATE) 250 mg / POTASSIUM (CARBONATE) 99 mg.
“Sorry, I meant calcium, as you mentioned, not magnesium”
Did you answer my first response, I don’t see any below as you said?
Does cal carbonate cause kidney failure, stones, and all the other curses mentioned with S.B. as you say cal chloride does??
Like many others, I do not understand the mixing mag chloride with S.B. I cannot find that product anywhere?!

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Rodney,

If you read Dr. Sircus’ essay on The Ultimate Mitochondrial Coctail, http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/the-ultimate-mitochondrial-cocktail/ you might understand better. Dr. Sircus recommends using magnesium chloride and sodium bicarbonate separately and explains it in this essay. Though there are ways to make a mixture of the two.

You might also read his essay on Magnesium and Calcium: http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/magnesium-and-calcification/

There’s lots more on this site, but if your questions are still not answered you might want to consider a private consultation with Dr. Sircus to discuss this. I am not that familiar with tri-salts so cannot answer all your questions.

Excess calcium can lodge anywhere in the body and cause numerous problems. It can cause atheroschlerosis, problems in various organs including the kidney, arthritis , joint problems, and much more. Excess calcium can be treated with sodium thiosulfate, which chelates the excess calcium from the body.

Yesterday, my father began the treatment with sodium bicarbonate as you recommended in your book: one freshly squeezed whole lemon , 1 tsp. baking soda in half glass water, taken twice a day.
My question is, if the cancer is in metastasis is sufficient the 2 teaspoons of baking soda per day or we should increase the quantity . And, please tell me in what form should take my father the magnesium chloride and iodine and in what quantity.
He also started the Budwig diet with linseed oil in a very strict diet. Does the sodium bicarbonate interferes with linseed oil or is OK to continue with this diet.

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Dear Nawal,

Low serum sodium levels can be caused by many things and the cause must be known to advise proper treatment. And you don’t say how low your serum sodium level is nor which symptoms you are experiencing from that. Your blood pressure is high and while some studies have shown that the sodium in bicarbonate will not raise bp, others disagree. Low sodium levels cannot always be raised by increased dietary intake of sodium. Sometimes low sodium levels are caused by atherosclerosis in the renal arteries, by cardiac problems or other conditions. More information is needed from you.

You really need a consultation with Dr. Sircus to sort out these issues . Only then can he give a recommendation for dosage for you and for other things that might help your situation. Please contact [email protected] for information on obtaining a personal consultation with Dr. Sircus.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

“How effective is baking soda/sodium bircarbonate treatment?”

I found your website and find it very inspirational.

My husband has been diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer and his tumor is located in the low-laying part of the rectal area.

He has visited his oncologists and surgeons, they said the best way is to go through Chemo and Radiation in order to shrink the tumor size small enough to remove it during surgery.

He has been begin his treatment since 3.5 to 4 weeks by taking chemo pills and radiation as well. Now, he has 10 more days to go.

The doctors said he may be required to go through another chemo therapy after surgery, which would be different chemo treatment (through IV). That’s where I feel most uncomfortable and began researching different options such as alternative therapy. And I found your blog with some insightful information.

He has changed his diet to raw organic vegetables the day he was informed that he had cancer. It was a life changing moment and left him a little confused what’s on the horizon for him. Instead he began to eat more raw organic food and exercise than he have done before (He has been eating organic food and exercising moderately for years).

I just do hope that everything posted on your website is true. I am not doubting anything but I do praise your sharing information. That’s his goal to live cancer free (including tumor).

    Thank you,
    Kathy

    Dear Kathy,

Many have been helped with sodium bicarbonate treatment for cancer. Dr. Sircus’ uses the basic protocol of Dr. Tulio Simoncini, but instead of IV targeting of the tumors, he advocates for oral ingestion and raising pH, along with many other supplements. Its a multi-faceted approach. You should read the book on Sodium Bicarbonate and also read about the successes that Dr. Simoncini has had with sodium bicarbonate treatment. In many of Dr. Sircus’ blogs these are highlighted.
Organic diets and exercise are very good …

I hope you find the successful treatement for your husband before he is harmed beyond help by the radiation and chemotherapy…..Please also learn about the harms these cause …..

Good day. I am a subscriber to your newsletter and even bought your ebook on Sodium Bicarbonate. I must say that the book is very informative.

My mum was diagnosed with Cancer of the gall bladder in October 2009. After surgery she used the baking soda and molassess as prescribed together with other stuff. She was cancer free. But then her oncologist made her still do chemo and radiation and after doing this combo she kinda relaxed on her protocol. Then in Nov’10 there was a recurrence and a strange thing happened. One doctor placed an instrument in her gallbladder(reconstructed) and she went down hill. She passes away Jan26, 2011 from sepsis due to MRSA. Needless to say our family is still a strong beleiver in your treatment option. Just this month a relative had a mole checked and it is positive – skin cancer. I think that I had read in your book about a paste of baking soda plus other ingredients but cannot stumble upon it, can you help me?

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

I would like to know if your book has a protocol to treat colon cancer. I was reading Dr. Simoncini’s web site where he offers advise for certain cancers such as stomach cancer but not colon cancer. His advice for stomach cancer is for one teaspoon of B.S. in a cup of water twice a day. Will this work for colon cancer?

    Thanks a million!!

  • Claudia - IMVA Staff said:

    Dear Sofia,

Dr. Simoncini has treated colon cancer successfully with sodium bicarbonate and here on his site is a case history for you to take a look at.

    http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/tumor-colon.html

Dr. Sircus believes in a different protocol which includes a full spectrum of nutritional medicines (natural) for treating cancers. We cannot give out specific dosages here on this blog site, for that you will need a consultation with Dr. Sircus or to read his books on cancer.

Dr. Sircus generally does not get into specific types of cancer and their treatments in his books, at least not currently.

did not because the procedure caused me to bleed again. I was
also told that it could be cancerous. I then took the baking

But I found that the bicarb Of soda and the maple syrup did
not mix well.During heating it started to foam a lot,and

    Dr. Sircus,

I am 57 years old and have had BPH (enlarged prostate) for about 15 years. To remedy the condition, I’ve been taking increasingly greater amounts of various prostate formula nutritional supplements. Unfortunately, during the past two years, I’ve had to go to the ER twice to have urinary blockages catheterized. I was put on Flomax and Finasteride by my first urologist, but stopped shortly after use. The Flomax stuffed up my nose so much that I could hardly breath, and the Finasteride (only took it for ten days) dropped my libido to zero. I’ve found that the Jarrow brand “Prostate Optimizer with BroccoMax” works as well as Flomax. However, at eight capsules per day (approx. $3.20), it is more expensive than Flomax, plus it is not reducing the prostate size but simply keeping it from growing more. I also use Advil on days of severe swelling. A second urologist had blood work done for me and told me I had a 4.6 PSA level. He recommended a biopsy, but I declined as I felt it was completely unnecessary at only a 4.6 PSA. He also recommended out-patient laser surgery. I didn’t want to risk it, however, after reading about numerous cases ending with bad results, so I passed on that, too. I also tried to acupuncture, but to no avail. After about four months of treatment with minimal improvement, my accupuncturist (also an M.D.) suggested laser surgery, and recommended yet another urology practice (which I have not visited). I still believe I can cure this affliction without invasive surgery or debilitating pharmaceuticals. What suggestions do you have for the millions of us men suffering with BPH? Do you have a sodium bicarbonate-based protocol for addressing BPH and permanently reducing prostate size?

Thank you in advance for your reply, as well as for your excellent work.

    Jonathan
