Dr. Sircus,

I am 57 years old and have had BPH (enlarged prostate) for about 15 years. To remedy the condition, I've been taking increasingly greater amounts of various prostate formula nutritional supplements. Unfortunately, during the past two years, I've had to go to the ER twice to have urinary blockages catheterized. I was put on Flomax and Finasteride by my first urologist, but stopped shortly after use. The Flomax stuffed up my nose so much that I could hardly breath, and the Finasteride (only took it for ten days) dropped my libido to zero. I've found that the Jarrow brand "Prostate Optimizer with BroccoMax" works as well as Flomax. However, at eight capsules per day (approx. $3.20), it is more expensive than Flomax, plus it is not reducing the prostate size but simply keeping it from growing more. I also use Advil on days of severe swelling. A second urologist had blood work done for me and told me I had a 4.6 PSA level. He recommended a biopsy, but I declined as I felt it was completely unnecessary at only a 4.6 PSA. He also recommended out-patient laser surgery. I didn't want to risk it, however, after reading about numerous cases ending with bad results, so I passed on that, too. I also tried to acupuncture, but to no avail. After about four months of treatment with minimal improvement, my accupuncturist (also an M.D.) suggested laser surgery, and recommended yet another urology practice (which I have not visited). I still believe I can cure this affliction without invasive surgery or debilitating pharmaceuticals. What suggestions do you have for the millions of us men suffering with BPH? Do you have a sodium bicarbonate-based protocol for addressing BPH and permanently reducing prostate size?

Thank you in advance for your reply, as well as for your excellent work.

Dear Brian,

Dr. Sircus recommends taking them orally at separate times. However he recommends mixing them together in a bath.

Read this essay on using bicarbonate and magnesium together:

Dear Martin,

Sorry to hear about your problem but glad you wrote to us here with your question.

Try using black strap molasses instead of maple syrup or sugar. I has more nutrients, reportedly does not need to be heated up and will work better for you.

See the Video of Vernon Johnson who cured prostate cancer ...you can follow his same method illustrated on this video:

Hallo IMVA!

After some internal bleeding I had a gastroscopy done where I
was diagnosed with an about 4cm segment of Barretts
eosophagus, with a circumferential inflamation and ulceration
with raised edges. A biopsy was not taken as I had not been
sedadet. I was told to return in 2 weeks for a biopsy, which I
did not because the procedure caused me to bleed again. I was
also told that it could be cancerous. I then took the baking
soda and maple syrup treatment according to Dr.Sircus.
But I found that the bicarb Of soda and the maple syrup did
not mix well.During heating it started to foam a lot,and
after cooling the bicarb settled at the bottom. My question
is, if that mixture is still effective. Or can one use sugar
instead of maple syrup as it dissolves in water very well as
   does the bicarb.
    Thanking you, Martin .

Dear Sofia,

Dr. Simoncini has treated colon cancer successfully with sodium bicarbonate and here on his site is a case history for you to take a look at.

http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/tumor-colon.html

Dr. Sircus believes in a different protocol which includes a full spectrum of nutritional medicines (natural) for treating cancers. We cannot give out specific dosages here on this blog site, for that you will need a consultation with Dr. Sircus or to read his books on cancer.

Dr. Sircus generally does not get into specific types of cancer and their treatments in his books, at least not currently.

Dear Dr. Sircus,

I would like to know if your book has a protocol to treat colon cancer. I was reading Dr. Simoncini's web site where he offers advise for certain cancers such as stomach cancer but not colon cancer. His advice for stomach cancer is for one teaspoon of B.S. in a cup of water twice a day. Will this work for colon cancer?

Thanks a million!!

Dear Hollie,

So sorry to hear about the unfortunate circumstances regarding your mother!

You just need to mix a paste of sodium bicarbonate and water and apply it to the skin cancer.....alternate with applications of iodine. some others have used different mixtures and I hope they will post them here for you to see.

Hello IMVA:

Good day. I am a subscriber to your newsletter and even bought your ebook on Sodium Bicarbonate. I must say that the book is very informative.

My mum was diagnosed with Cancer of the gall bladder in October 2009. After surgery she used the baking soda and molassess as prescribed together with other stuff. She was cancer free. But then her oncologist made her still do chemo and radiation and after doing this combo she kinda relaxed on her protocol. Then in Nov'10 there was a recurrence and a strange thing happened. One doctor placed an instrument in her gallbladder(reconstructed) and she went down hill. She passes away Jan26, 2011 from sepsis due to MRSA. Needless to say our family is still a strong beleiver in your treatment option. Just this month a relative had a mole checked and it is positive - skin cancer. I think that I had read in your book about a paste of baking soda plus other ingredients but cannot stumble upon it, can you help me?

Thanks,
